Leeds-based Northern Monk brewery and Aunt Bessie’s, have joined forces for a second time to brew the UK’s only Jam & Custard Pale Ale, based on the Aunt Bessie’s fans favourite – Jam Roly Poly.

Back in 2020, when the two flagship Yorkshire brands originally collaborated, their brewed creations sold out in under 48 hours.

Since then, Aunt Bessie’s has been inundated with pleas to make even more Jam Roly Poly Ale. With some fans taking to social media to show their love, one commented “This is the single greatest thing that I’ve ever seen”, whilst another pleaded “Guys… you getting any more of this in?”. But they won’t have to wait much longer as the pair have been busy brewing even more of their delicious Jam & Custard Pale Ale, for fans to enjoy once more.

The beers have been brewed at Northern Monk’s Leeds-based brewery, with the much-loved recipe enhanced to create an even fruiter beer, with slightly more sessionable alcohol levels. The Jam Roly Poly, a 4.5% Jam & Custard Pale Ale recipe is inspired by the Aunt Bessie’s product of the same name, and is brewed with plum, apricot and strawberry, along with custard to round out the flavours.

Northern Monk continues its mission to create unique beer experiences, whilst Aunt Bessie’s remains a trusted and reliable dinner time staple. Together, they want to continue their mission to bring something a little different to dinner time, helping family and friends come together to try new taste experiences.

The Jam Roly Poly & Custard Pale Ale will be re-launching in Morrisons from 28th March 2022. Additionally, the 4 x 330ml packs are available to purchase for £6.
