Neptune Brewery celebrate Oktoberfest with limited edition beers

An authentic taste of Oktoberfest has arrived at Neptune Brewery, with the launch of four delicious German beers brewed to celebrate the longstanding annual festival.

The award-winning brewery, based in Bootle, Liverpool, has created the brand-new beers as part of their limited edition Oktoberfest range, which showcase traditional German brewing techniques and ingredients:

Hefeweizen 5.5%: A well-loved wheat beer brings flavours of clove, banana and hints of bubblegum. A deliciously refreshing and light beer imparting a light tartness with a dry finish.

Schwarzbier 5.0%: This dark lager balances flavours of dark chocolate blended with hints of coffee and a caramel sweetness. Subtle roasted notes can be found without bitterness. Despite the colour this isn’t a heavy beer, making it quite drinkable.

Marzen 5.9%: An Amber coloured malt forward lager with a mild hop bitterness, bringing bready notes with rich caramel flavours leading to a lingering finish with a subtle warmth.

Bock 6.5% Robust sweet malt flavours can be found in this strong lager, with notes of rich toffee balanced by moderate hop bitterness and a light alcohol warmth.

Les O’Grady, owner and head brewer at Neptune Brewery, said: “We have always enjoyed drinking different varieties of German beers, so this Oktoberfest we decided it was the perfect opportunity to celebrate the occasion and create our own range of both easy drinking and bolder styles of beer.

“This limited edition collection is the perfect showcase of Oktoberfest and we can’t wait for our customers to enjoy a taste of Germany via Neptune.

“We’ve really enjoyed coming together as a team to create the four beers, brewed to showcase authentic German ingredients at the quality standard that customers have come to expect at Neptune. Customers will also notice we’ve even put our own take on the traditional label designs that are seen on beer bottles across Germany.”
