Morrisons is collaborating with fan-favourite Chris Kamara to exclusively launch a new lager brewed by craft brewery Brew York, in stores across the UK from today.
Kammy’s Un-Beer-Lievable Lagerlaunched this summer in partnership with Prostate Cancer UK for customers to raise funds whilst raising a glass of the light and refreshing lager which has a deliciously crisp finish.
For every four-pack sold, Morrisons and Brew York will join forces to make a life-saving donation to Prostate Cancer UK, making every sip an act of support.
Harry Ball, beer buying manager at Morrisons, said: “We knew this would be a match made in heaven and love that we’ve got Kammy’s cans hitting Morrisons shelves nationwide this week. You’ll need to act fast to get your hands on a pack – we’re expecting this brew to be as popular as Kammy is on our screens – and when they’re gone, they’re gone!”
Much loved for his legendary punditry on Sky Sports’ Soccer Saturday, former player, manager and TV personality Kamara is also a long-term supporter of Prostate Cancer UK, joining close pal Jeff Stelling’s epic Football Marches for the charity and walking alongside many men – and their loved ones – affected by the disease.
He said: “To have my lager stocked at Morrisons, now that’s un-beer-lievable! I’m really grateful for this partnership and the opportunity to fund ground-breaking research for Prostate Cancer UK. I can’t wait for shoppers to enjoy a drink whilst watching their team on a match day.”
Kammy’s Un-Beer-Lievable Lager is available from today for £5.50 for More Card holders in select Morrisons stores nationwide. Brew York and Morrisons will jointly donate 30p from each purchase to Prostate Cancer UK while the lager is on sale in stores.
One in eight men are affected by prostate cancer, the most common cancer in men, and those odds increase to one in four if you are black. That’s thousands of dads, grandads, brothers, partners, uncles, sons and mates.
Prostate Cancer UK Director of Fundraising, Chris Jarrett, said: “Cheers! We’re so grateful for the ‘unbelievable’ support of Chris Kamara, Morrisons and Brew York as they team up to raise vital funds and awareness for Prostate Cancer UK in such a novel way.
“Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men, and an early diagnosis can save your life. Money raised will fund ground-breaking research towards a screening programme, so we can catch prostate cancer early and save lives.”
