Fuller’s launch new book as UK beer volumes rise

The new book, ‘Crafting a Company’ charts the independent company’s journey and the developments that have taken place across its illustrious history.

Corporate affairs director Richard Fuller explained: “Being the oldest remaining independent Brewery in London is something we’re extremely proud of and this book is the perfect way to express our heritage, while also showing how we have progressed and developed. It’s a must for any beer fan.”

The book release comes on the back of Fuller’s half-year results, which revealed that beer volumes were up 1%.

It’s newest core cask beer ‘Oliver’s Island’ is now also the group’s second best-selling cask beer in the UK, while its ‘Frontier’ lager continues to perform well, with sales double on last year.

Chief Executive Simon Emeny said the group has had a “strong first half with all areas of the business”.

He explained: “In short, having completed the first half of this financial year, I look forward to the rest of the year with optimism.

“We have the best team in the industry and iconic pubs, combined with the financial firepower and business acumen to stay ahead of the competition.

“Fuller’s is a company with clear values, a consistent and well communicated strategy and I know that we will continue to deliver great beer and cider, delicious food and outstanding service to our customers, great careers for our people and solid returns for our shareholders.”
