Faversham Steam Brewery adds Red IPA to Whitstable Bay Collection

Whitstable Bay Red IPA is the latest permanent addition to Whitstable Bay Collection.

The 4.5% beer is pitched as “rich and full bodied” combining citrus fruit and pine aromas of an IPA with roasted and caramel malt flavours.

It features Pale Ale, Crystal, Caramalt, and Roasted Barley malts, as well as Kentish Challenger hops for bitterness and American Amarillo hops for aroma.

The beer is the latest addition to the Whitstable Bay range that includes Whitstable Bay Pale Ale, Whitstable Bay Blonde Lager, Whitstable Bay Organic Ale and Whitstable Bay Black Oyster Stout.

The brewery explained: “The contemporary lens design for Whitstable Bay Red IPA features an oyster dredger silhouette on a striking red background, reflecting its namesake – the popular coastal town of Whitstable. There is also a tap handle shaped in the style of a barge sail, to reflect the beer’s nautical origins.”

The beer is available in 500ml bottles and in keg from September 12, 2016.
