Siren set for tap takeover at Mikkeller and lifts lid on latest barrel aged beers

The event, which takes place at Mikkeller’s Stefansgade bar in Denmark, comes as head brewer at Siren Craft Brew, Ryan Witter-Merithew, is set to bid farewell to the UK brewery ahead of a move to the US.

“Join us on the 11th of June when we will have 40 of his best work from the amazing Siren Craft Brew flowing from our taps, so we can best toast his future. We will have kick ass food and, of course, the man himself,” Mikkeller said on its Facebook.

Siren has also revealed the details of its newest barrel-aged beers that have been ageing in Chardonnay, Grand Marnier, Bourbon and Banyuls barrels.

Barrel Aged Näcken, Long Forgotten Journey, Barrel Aged Daydream, and Barrel Aged Shattered Dream are the latest additions to the brewery’s special releases.

The latter is “an Imperial nod to our flagship Breakfast Stout” and brewed to celebrate its 100th batch. “Shattered Dream takes you to places that Broken Dream wouldn’t dare.

“She’s the bigger and badder sister. And now she’s been aged in Banyuls and Bourbon barrels for over six months!,” it explained on its blog.
