Abyss Brewing is moving to a new site in Lewes, which will house its brewery and on-site taproom.
The company, which started out back in 2016 under the the Pelham Arms in Lewes, is returning to town and they’re crowdfunding to help build their brewery tap.
Located in an old malthouse the brewery, founded by Andrew Mellor and Andy Bridge, are aiming to have completed the bar and cool room build by Spring 2021 so they can officially open The ABYSS Brewery + Tap.
The new space is in the historic Davey’s Lane area of Lewes which is steeped in brewing history.
Their brewhouse will be installed inside the old Maltings building previously part of the South Downs Brewery.
It’ll feature a new taproom and also a permanent Mexican Street Food kitchen curated by Carlito Riestra.
To help build the brewery tap, Abyss has launched a crowdfunding campaign.
Pledge and receive rewards including savings (for every £1 you pledge, they give you £1.50 of beer in their tap room), merch and invites to exclusive events including tastings, tours and workshops.
