Two leading hops business have tied to help serve brewers in the United Kingdom.
US-based Yakima Chief Hops (YCH) said it was pleased to announce a distribution agreement with grower-owned hop and brewing ingredients supplier Charles Faram & Co Ltd.
The companies said this is “an exciting moment for UK breweries” with Charles Faram’s local warehouse and distribution hub expediting access to sought-after hop varieties.
All YCH brands from the 2024 crop year will be available for UK brewers to contract through Faram’s, along with many varieties from the 2023 crop year. Spot availability of YCH proprietary brands, including Cryo Hops, will be available to purchase through Faram’s beginning in April.
“To complement YCH’s direct presence in the UK market, we look forward to brewers having improved access to our products through Charles Faram’s extensive network,” said Dean Monshing, Senior Vice President of Global Sales for Yakima Chief Hops.
“Charles Faram & Co. works with almost everybody in the United Kingdom. They have a long history with the brewing community, and we are happy to see our brand interlinked with their longstanding service.”
“Following feedback in our customer survey,” added Paul Corbett, Managing Director at Charles Faram “to have more YCH products available we are delighted to announce this new collaboration. We will now be able to offer the excellent YCH varieties and products and give our customers easy access to them from our store here in the UK. We believe it is very positive for all parties.”
