London-based low-calorie brewery Lowrise’s brand new beer is launching into Waitrose at the beginning of April, to sit alongside their existing lager.
Lowrise’s Hazy Pale is the lowest calorie 4% ABV beer in the UK with 40% fewer calories than the average pale ale. A bright, fresh and juicy hazy pale ale with “stone fruit and citrus flavours and a smooth, delicious finish”, it’s brewed with New Zealand hops and British malts.
‘We’re excited to expand the Lowrise offering with this brand new Hazy Pale ale. As with the lager, this product has the taste of a premium craft beer, but with far fewer calories per can” said Jourdan Gabbini, Waitrose’s beer and cider buyer.
“The new pale ale will sit alongside Lowrise lager as customers continue to explore innovative products which deliver exceptional flavour.
“Our Hazy Pale gives health-conscious UK drinkers a choice of great low cal beers to enjoy as we head into Summer’ added Tom Delamore, co-founder of Lowrise.
“We’ve worked hard to create the absolute best hazy pale ale possible, with premium, sustainable ingredients so that it’s a great beer that happens to be low-calorie, rather than a low-calorie beer. It’s tasting fantastic, so we’re super pumped!”
