A new desktop digital label printer designed for craft breweries that features individual ink tanks and a reusable thermal inkjet print head has been launched.
The LX4000, manufactured by Primera Technology, is capable of printing at up to 4.5 inches (114mm) per second, the printer can produce labels at up to 8-inches (203mm) wide and 24-inches (609mm) long, with a native resolution of 1200 x 4800 dpi.
The manufacturer also said the LX4000 is ideal for users that need to print up to 7500 labels per day, but has low operating costs for those with less volumes.
The Big Ink system on the device utilises dye and pigment inks that are optimized for brightness, durability and optical density, with a process black that, the manufacturer said, when compared to carbon black inks, offer better water and chemical resistance.
“With LX4000, we are excited to introduce such a highly capable desktop color label printer,” said Mark D. Strobel, Primera’s vice president of sales and marketing.
“For companies needing higher volumes of labels with the very best print quality and a very low cost per label, the LX4000 is an outstanding choice.”
