The Truro-based site allows the company to meet growing demand for its core range of beers while bringing bottling in-house.

The company, which redesigned its core range earlier this year, has invested in equipment from manufacturers such as Meheen.

This investment will also allow Skinner’s to expand their distribution further outside the South West and create new jobs in the process.

Skinner’s founder, Steve Skinner, explained: “Our loyal customers will be thrilled to know they can now buy our bottled beer range nationally.

“We’re responding to growing demand for the product – we’re currently bottling more than 100% than last year.” 

Mike Pritchard, commercial director, added:  “Our new bottling plant will ensure Skinner’s is well-placed to roll out our expansion plans and in doing so create 5 new jobs within Cornwall – the new facility has already created new positions.

“As a community brewery the creation of new jobs, and supporting business growth sustainably, is something we care passionately about.”
