Thornbridge & Co see positive growth

Thornbridge & Co has announced positive trading figures for the Christmas period.

The Company, a JV between Thornbridge Brewery and Pivovar, reported a 29% increase in sales across their bars in York, Birmingham and Leeds over the busy Christmas period.

This followed on from strong sales across 2023 which saw the final quarter of the year 22% ahead of the same period in 2022.

Director Jamie Hawksworth described the results as fantastic and a real reflection on the hard work of the operations team and brewery: “This is a result of a high level of investment in our bars and an educated and unrivalled drinks offering”.

Hawksworth was also able to announce that there would be further sites opening this year with two very exciting sites already at Head of Terms stage.

“Both of these new sites will only enhance what we do and make the Business stronger, with the excellent people we have we are really encouraged to attack 2024,” he added.

Last year Paul Davies, the founder of AleHunters Brewery Tours, led a panel discussion with a revered group that share their experiences and expertise working in and around cask beer.

Recorded at our Brewers Congress, he was joined by Alice Batham, the head brewer at Bathams in the West Midlands and also Janos De Baets, the co-founder and head brewer of Dok Brewing Company in Gent, Belgium.

Also on the panel was Rob Lovatt, the head brewer and production director at Thornbridge and Des de Moor, one of the UK’s top beer experts, and author of the new book Cask: The real story of Britain’s unique beer culture.

In this episode, Paul leads a passionate and informed discussion about this beloved beer type featuring input from some of the people that know it best.
