Utopian Brewing, best known for its range of award winning and traditionally brewed lagers, have today announced the launch of Wondrous Isles, their first West Coast style Modern Pale Ale.
Founder Richard Archer commented: “We started brewing a limited range of cask ales a while back and have really enjoyed that, so it just felt like the right time to extend that into a keg and can range of modern ale styles.
“We have stuck rigidly to our core values of natural brewing, using traditional techniques and zero additives, with only 100% British grown ingredients. I think the team have done an amazing job creating an easy drinking, punchy beer with genuine ‘Westie Pale’ credentials.”
Head brewer Jeremy Swainson added: “It was great fun taking our British Pale cask beer and vamping it up into a modern Pale Ale. We are super happy with the beer and to us it has lashings of stone fruit, citrus and pine, finishing crisp and bitter.”
The beer was pre-released at the Highlights and Gottwood music festivals where it was well received and it is now available for trade orders in 30litre kegs and 440ml cans or via the online web-shop.
As the launch coincides with the start of the Euros the brewery will be announcing a series of promotions and social media competitions as the tournament progresses to wish both teams from our ‘Wondrous Isles’ the very best of fortunes.
